Busy, busy

I'm very excited about being part of Auckland Art & Craft Fair
this Saturday! It's an amazing event with more than 80 stall holders.
It takes place at Aotea Centre and we will be there 11-3.

I will bring lots of yarn – BFL sock yarn (semi-solid and self-striping),
lusciuos silk/merino lace weight in new colours, the yummy
super chunky merino/alpaca and two boxes of 100% cotton
in the colour of the rainbow.

And of course the knitted goodies as well! I have loads of cuffs
and kid's cotton beanies. If you're a knitter yourself I will bring
kits for cuffs and flower brooches.

On Sunday you will find me at Titirangi Village market.
I will be back in my regular spot up on the stage.
If you haven't been to this market you should come for a visit.
It has a lovely vibe to it with live music, a cafe and lots
of funky crafts. It's open from 10-2.

Hope to see you in the weekend!

Blendy knits again

I’m going to Wellington on Friday and I’m looking forward to
a very exciting weekend. On Saturday it’s time for Craft2.0.

At the Atrium, Chaffers Dock Building, Herd Street,
Wellington City. We will be open 10–4.

But there is more! The very clever Belinda Too from Blendy Knits
is releasing her latest book, Blendy Knits Again, at Craft2.0!

As a special bonus issue, pre-Craft2.0 event, come along to the
Blendy Knits Book Launch Party on Friday night and be the first
to buy this great new knitting book, which features 25 patterns for
hats, legwarmers, fingerless gloves, socks, lace scarves cardigans.

Blendy Knits Book Launch Party
Friday Oct 28 4:30pm – 8:30pm
Paramount Theatre – by the bar

Not only can you lay your hands on the new book, I will be there
so that you can get some yarn for your knitting! The two patterns
below are made from Happy-go-knitty hand-dyed cotton.
My sock yarn is not featured in the book (it’s too new!)
but of course you can use it for the patterns in the book.

Aucklanders – don’t let the terrible weather spoil your day.
Come to DCM for some funky crafts, fun people and serious cupcakes!

I’m bringing some new stuff

All this beautiful hand-dyed cotton has been re-skeined into 50gm skeins.

And of course I will have the little 5gm balls as well, ready for some crafts.
Like wee lollies, aren’t they?

And some more merino cuffs. The ones to the right
are made of yummy hand-dyed merino in red/pink/orange.
