DCM tomorrow

Tomorrow is my favourite market – The Devonport Craft Market.
I love it because it’s my local market and there are so many lovely,
crafty stall holders and lots of friendly customers.

I should have taken some photos of new cuffs and beanies
but the day just flew by and now it’s too dark.
If you are in Auckland and have some spare time,
you can come and see them at the market.

Devonport Community House, 10-2.

Beaded cuffs

Tomorrow I’m going to Titirangi market to see if I can get a spot for the day.

I will bring some new beaded cuffs

Golden skulls and silver Space invaders.
Note that the two cuffs with Space invaders are slightly different. :)

And I have made a new short version.
The beads are gold, blue metallic and red AB (aurora borealis).

Crafternoon Tea

This Saturday you can find me at Crafternoon Tea (I love that name!)

in Kingsland. The market will run on the same day as the Kingsland Festival
so not only will you find loads of funky crafts – there will also be
live music, a kid’s zone and much more.

Saturday 9 April, 2–6pm.

I have worked frantically the past week to get ready for

Devonport Craft Market tomorrow.
And, phew, I’m finally done!

I have created postcards of the Hearts for Canterbury outdoor installation.
All proceeds for the postcards will be donated to the Red Cross Canterbury

Hand-dyed merino

I’ve been very busy lately, working on lots of new goodies for the winter season.

And not just knitted stuff, oh no, I will bring new yarns to the markets!
I have started dyeing super soft 8ply merino, beautiful to knit.

These are the colours I will bring to Devonport Craft Market, next Sunday.

I have a new range of beanies as well, knitted from the gorgeous merino.
Here are some samples.

I have dyed some cotton yarn in new colours.

And I have learned a lesson – even if it’s tempting to speed up the process,
never, EVER, wash the cotton yarn in the washing machine...

Lucky Wellingtonians

Tomorrow a brand new yarn shop will open up its doors in Wellington
- Holland Road Yarn Company. It’s the very clever Tash from Knitsh
who is the owner and she has promised a shop like nothing else.
Lots of hand-dyed yarn and she will stock my hand-dyed cotton yarn!
So, you lucky Wellingtonians, check it out.

I sold some love

Today I sold ‘Aroha’.
It’s a bit sad that it’s gone but it went to a good home,
so I’m happy about that.
